Stichting Marc Sleen - Brussel
In the Marc Sleen Museum, a striking bright yellow cube stands out: an inspiring workspace for young comic talent and a real eye-catcher for visitors. This creative cocoon offers young comic artists a quiet space to work on their own projects, while visitors can peek behind the scenes through viewing holes and video screens. Inside, the cube is fully equipped as a professional workspace; on the outside, it serves as a communication tool. The playful ‘waffle paneling’ surrounding the cube is a subtle nod to Marc Sleen’s body of work. In this way, the design supports the mission of the Marc Sleen Foundation to be a breeding ground for comic talent, a unique concept where creativity and heritage come together.
"What a showstopper and wonderful surprise yesterday when Johan and I entered the Marc Sleen Museum. The yellow cube is so inviting and will surely inspire both professional illustrators and visitors alike."
