JBC K'Dee - Hasselt
JBC K’dee in Quartier Bleu, Hasselt, is a unique retail concept fully tailored to children. A shopping experience where discovery, play, and adventure take center stage. Deusjevoo designed the interior to bring the feeling of the outdoors inside—with a playful layout, plenty of space, and even Grandpa Jean’s treehouse. At the heart of the story are the characters Babs and Tiest—a nod to Baptist, the founder of JBC. They guide children through the store, turning every visit into a special story. The entire store is built around one striking element: a long, winding yellow snake that weaves through the space. This structure divides the store into separate zones by age and gender, helping each child find their place—clear, familiar, and perfectly tailored to them.
We wanted a store that truly speaks to children, not a miniature version of an adult store, but a place full of wonder. Deusjevoo understood that perfectly. From the treehouse to the yellow snake, everything invites kids to explore, play, and simply be themselves
